My Story
Hi, I’m Alyssa!
I’m a Denver-based Registered Dietitian with nearly 15 years of experience in both clinical and functional nutrition. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and personalized to your life — not a cookie-cutter plan or a list of foods to avoid.
Before opening my private practice, I worked at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus and West Virginia University Hospitals, where I cared for patients with complex medical conditions across both ICU and outpatient settings. I was promoted early into advanced roles and eventually helped launch West Virginia’s first outpatient speciality program for advanced heart failure. These years shaped how I think: strategically, holistically, and always focused on what will actually make a difference in someone’s day-to-day life.
I also know what it’s like to be a patient.
I live with a rare chronic illness myself, and I’ve spent years navigating symptoms that didn’t make sense, providers who brushed things off, and treatment plans that didn’t quite fit. That experience changed how I practice. It fostered a deep sense of empathy and compassion within me, enabling me to provide exceptional care and support to patients who are desperate for answers. I don’t rush, I ask questions, and I take your symptoms seriously— even when others haven’t.
Most of my patients come to me after months (or years) of trying to figure things out on their own. They’re tired of doing it alone. If that sounds like you, I’d be honored to help you find clarity, relief, and a path forward that actually works.
